A Revenue Focused Channel Approach
Problem Statement: Which Digital Distribution Channels Are Generating The Best Revenue Opportunities For Booking Hotels?
Approach: Evaluate channel contributions to hotel occupancy, revenue, and booking realization to determine revenue contribution opportunities based on which channels have the best combination of average purchase value (APV) and highest likelihood to realize said hotel booking.
Results: We determined that website and mobile website based bookings contributed the best combination of APV and highest likelihood to realize hotel bookings and made appropriate product and tech requests to improve those channels. We were previously heavily focused on Android app and call center channels, which produced low results based on the two above KPIs.
